Lecture: Tips for Successful Free Motion Quilting with Jenny Lyon

July 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT

Jenny Lyon uses her domestic sewing machine to create art quilts and wearable art. Her work has been juried into a variety of major shows including Houston and Paducah as well art galleries and SAQA exhibits. Some is held by private collectors.  She has been joyfully teaching the art of free motion quilting since 2006. Her classes are encouraging, supportive, and light-hearted. She teaches at various guilds, shops, and events throughout the country as well as at major international shows.

She calls herself the Quilt Skipper because once while quilting her own quilt, she was so delighted by the unexpected beauty of it and what emerged from my needle, that she found herself cheerfully skipping around the house when she took her breaks. It is her joy to create art with free motion quilting.

This evening Jenny will present her My Tippy Top Tips For Successful and Joyful Free Motion Quilting”, an informative and engaging discussion of useful tools, products and tips that will enhance your free motion quilting, some of them downright quirky!

She lives in Northern California with her oh-so-patient hubby. Their two grown sons have left the nest to become men, leaving more room for books, fabric and notions.
