Sue, a charter member of our Association, has been quilting 50 years since she was in high school. Sue’s first hundred quilts were mostly traditional until she was exposed to art quilt teachers and friends who suggested trying different techniques in her quilting.
Sue is a professional and international Quilt Teacher, giving lectures and workshops throughout the USA and abroad. Sue has produced an extensive and varied body of work, including hundreds of quilts, quilt art, and quilted clothing, many having been nationally exhibited.
This presentation by Sue will follow her quilts from traditional to art quilts, talking about ways to bridge that gap that we all think as we say to ourselves “Oh- I can’t do that” or “I don’t make art quilts”. Sue will share dozens of her quilts, where you can see first-hand and in person all the assorted uses of fabrics using many different techniques.
