Workshop: Quilted Jigsaw Puzzle Technique by Kim Brownell

Using the quilted Jigsaw Puzzle technique, students can combine two hobbies, because it is very much like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle.  A raw-edge fusible applique is used, leaving a negative space between each piece.  The background fabric can be in any color, but if black is used, the piece will have a wonderful stained glass look.  This is a fun class for both beginner and experienced quilters. 

Students will have a choice of two Quilted Jigsaw projects, the sunset or the mountain landscape. A kit is required for whichever one you choose – at a cost of $25, which includes the pattern, one yard of Pellon Wonder Under and the pre-traced black background fabric. Student supplies their own design fabrics. The projects measure approximately 11″ x 20″.
